If you see a Red LED Light appear when trying to open your BenjiLock with your fingerprint it usually means one of two things.
1. The battery is getting low and needs to be recharged.
a) Connect the included USB charging cable to the bottom of the lock.
b) Ensure the USB cable is connected to a standard USB input.
c) Once fully charged disconnect the USB cable and begin using your lock.
(The Red LED at the top of the lock will turn on to indicate that it's charging and will turn off once fully charged.)
2. The lock does not recognize your fingerprint.
a) Ensure you're using a fingerprint that has already been programmed.
b) Try putting just a dab of lotion or hand sanitizer on your finger, rub it in good, and try again.
